Opened nearly 30 years ago, Chat ‘N’ Chill Beach Bar and Grill on Stocking Island is now synonymous with the Exuma experience. One simply cannot fully enjoy Exuma, without a visit to Chat ‘N’ Chill.

The brainchild of Exuma native Kenneth “KB” Bowe, after graduating from the University of Chicago and working for years in the corporate world, Chat ‘N’ Chill was brought to life when KB decided to show travelers how to enjoy his not-so-little, nine-acre hideaway in the best way possible. What a success that has been!

Any given Sunday, hundreds of people boat over to the island for KB’s famous pig roast, accompanied by all the usual favorites, from conch salad to barbecue ribs, grilled fish and chicken, rice, burgers, and his famous Bahamian-style coleslaw. 
 
“People come off their yachts and buy this coleslaw in big containers they bring with them,” he shared of the tangy, flavorful, harmoniously combined ingredients.   
 
Chat ‘N’ Chill is known for many things, but undoubtedly, its cocktails rank somewhere at the top. The cold rum punches, beers and frozen drinks offer a delightful reprieve from the hot temperatures that engulf the island.
